The Henkel Group has guaranteed its long-term presence in Australia with a A$10 million investment in its new Australian and New Zealand headquarters. The new headquarters was officially opened by Premier of Victoria, Steve Bracks. The investment has upgraded and centralised Henkel Australia and New Zealand’s (Henkel ANZ) functions including the corporate office, production facility, warehousing, laboratory and training centre located in Kilsyth, south east of Melbourne. The majority of Henkel ANZ’s 550 Australian employees have relocated from five sites across Melbourne and Sydney. Centralizing Henkel ANZ’s operations at Kilsyth has created 130 new positions “The investment in our centralised site is more than just creating a new generation workplace for employees,“ said Henkel ANZ Managing Director, Eberhard Buse. It represents a strong vote of confidence by the Henkel Group in ensuring a long-term presence in Australia and New Zealand.“ Over the last five years, the company has invested nearly AUD$100 million in expanding the ANZ operations. All of Henkel ANZ’s core operations will be driven out of Melbourne, with the exception of cosmetics and toiletries which will remain in Sydney. |
