Tradespeople and DIYers in Bathurst (NSW), have welcomed the recent opening of Petries Mitre 10 Home & Trade.

With a new location and custom-designed Mitre 10 Generation 21 store, Petries Mitre 10 Home & Trade combines both retail and trade under the one roof to provide a one stop shop for hardware in Bathurst.

“We had the store specifically built with an expanded outdoor and garden centre, extensive home and giftware department and a specialised door centre so that our customers could get all their hardware needs quickly and conveniently,” said co-owner, Annette Fergus.

Aiming to extend the trade arm of their business, Petrie’s has a specialised drive through trade area allowing trade people to pick up materials on the go.

“The new drive through trade area is an exciting addition to the new store. We can service our trade customers much more efficiently, allowing them to minimise shopping time and maximise work time,” said Annette.

Originally purchasing O’Leary’s Mitre 10 Bathurst in 2003, the joint owners of Petrie’s Mitre 10 Home and Trade always had a vision of building a new store in the area. With the move now complete, Annette and her co-owners changed the name from O’Leary’s to Petrie’s Mitre 10 Home & Trade to symbolise a new future for the store. “With a vast range of hardware experience among our key staff and a brand new store, we’re looking forward to offering our customers a bright and easy to navigate, hardware store to best service their specialised trade needs,” said Annette.
