Taiwan Hardware Show 2017 achieved new visitors and on-site sales record
The Taiwan Hardware Show 2017 (THS), reached an all-time high record of 30,889 visits from 85 countries during the three day show, which was held from October 11-13.
Numerous business deals were sealed as 409 companies exhibited at the Taichung International Exhibition Hall.
Exhibitors reported that the show was a successful buyers’ platform to procure the latest and best hardware products from quality international and domestic manufacturers, across the 16,524 square metre exhibition.
Commenting on the exhibition’s recordbreaking achievements, Mr Gerd Keim, President of Kaigo Co. Ltd said, “We have surpassed our own targets this year and are proud that our exhibitors and visitors have also achieved their participation and sourcing objectives. THS will continue to deliver quality results to the industry and be at the forefront to further promote Taiwan’s hardware manufacturing industry’s strength to global markets and buyers.”
THS 2017 recorded a three per cent increase in visitor count compared to last year, with the show also attracting exhibiting companies from Taiwan, as well as homegrown hardware giants from India, Vietnam, Japan, China, Hong Kong and many more.
The top industry players on the show floor included: Allprofessional MFG Co., Ltd; Best Friend Enterprise Co., Ltd; Jaco International Corporation; K.S. Terminals Inc.; Puma Industrial Co., Ltd. etc.
Sharing his company’s fruitful participation at THS, Mr Jack Lai from Jaco International Corporation company said, “THS is a very professional hardware exhibition in Taiwan and we have received great return through participating in it. We have received many orders and met many customers.”
“Previously the customers mostly came from Europe and America. Now there are increasing numbers coming from the Middle East, making the visitor pool at THS more diverse, especially from Iran since its market is opening. This exhibition has created positive impacts for our company and we are happy to participate every year,” he said.
Echoing this positive sentiment, Mr Arthur Hsiao from Puma Industrial Co., Ltd. noted that returning to THS for the third time has once again reaped good benefits by saying, “Through this exhibition we can source many orders from the Middle East and other parts of the world.
This show has increased our international visibility and strengthened our brand image in Taiwan. We are happy that we can show the world the manufacturing power of Taiwan through this exhibition.”
This year’s business matchmaking and accommodation subsidy program were effective in drawing quality buyers and top decision makers to the exhibition. According to Mr Markus Renz from ABC Tools S.P.A., Italy, “This is our second time that we have come to this show. This is the second day, and we have revisited all the contacts from last year. The overall feedback was quite positive, we are lucky to be here for two days to see good contacts, new products, and a lot of suppliers. And I think we would definitely come back again next year.”
Staging THS at the new exhibition hall was well received by both exhibitors and visitors as they benefitted from the centrality of the location between Taichung’s hardware manufacturing hub and ease of access to the hall by convenient transportation services.
Mr Thorsten Schmidt from Einhell Germany AG said that, “The experience has been great. It has been a great opportunity for our company to explore the business opportunities here in the Taiwan Hardware Show. I saw a lot of interesting companies and exchanged business cards with lots of people here.”
Other important buyers include representatives from big brands such as: Würth and Berner from Germany; Stanley Black & Decker and Milwaukee from the United States; Rona from Canada; Astro; Konan; Lixil; Fujiwara and Grohe from Japan, and Facom from France. Taiwan Hardware Show will return for its 18th edition on October 17-19, 2018.
