Masters Opens First Store in Braybrook

After a two year wait, Masters opened the first of a planned 150 stores in Braybrook on September 1. Media personnel, including the Australian Hardware Journal, were treated to a sneak preview two days earlier, with a tradies day squeezed in prior to the official launch.

Mark Burrowes Returns at Danks

Mark Burrowes, the former Mitre 10 CEO, is Danks’ new boss. Burrowes has taken on the role of General Manager – Home, Timber and Hardware Group and will report directly to Masters CEO Don Stallings. Burrowes will also join the Woolworths Executive Leadership Team.

Dahlsens Buys Midcoast Timber

Midcoast Timber Centres in New South Wales became part of the Dahlsens Group on July 1. Midcoast Timber Centres has been trading for 25 years and operates out of six stores in Kirrawee, Kogarah, Northmead, Meadowbank, Tuggerah and Gosford. There is also a warehouse in Smithfield.
