Ace Hardware stores aim to hire 30,000 employees
Amid an increased demand for essential products and services, Ace Hardware locations across the US plan to hire more than 30,000 people in full-time, part-time and seasonal positions, hardware retailing.
Interested applicants were invited to visit www.storejobs.acehardware.com to apply for positions at Ace Hardware’s Retail Support Centres and 4,300 Ace locations across the US.
Ace Hardware Corp President and Chief Executive Officer, John Venhuizen, said when a ‘Help Wanted’ sign hangs in the window of a local Ace store, it means way more than “we are hiring”.
“It means we are further serving our neighbours. For 95 years we believe we have been blessed to be in the business of serving others. Over these 95 years, our local owners have weathered their community through a crisis or two and these ‘red-vested heroes’ stand ready to do it again. We feel fortunate that we are able to provide employment opportunities for those who may be looking for work, with our growing need for more helpful associates.” Mr Venhuizen said,
Ace Hardware notes it continues to prioritise the health and safety of independent retailers by following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), continuing curb side pickup service at many locations and encouraging social distancing within its stores.
