Coronavirus delays Cologne International Hardware Show 2020

by | Mar 11, 2020

The International Hardware Fair planned in Cologne from March 1, 2020 has been postponed to February 21-24, 2021, after Koelnmesse responded to the increasingly acute global situation around the coronavirus.

The new date was set in consultation with the industry and is meeting with broad acceptance by the exhibitors. All existing contracts with the exhibitors remain valid while hall occupancy for 2021 reflects the existing plans from 2020 on a 1:1 basis.

There will be just one leading trade fair for the hardware industry in Cologne in 2021.  Asia-Pacific Sourcing, which was planned for March 2020, will be integrated into the Hardware Fair. The next event after that will then be held as planned, in spring 2022.

All paid tickets will be automatically refunded. Koelnmesse will centrally issue these refunds in the coming weeks and are ensuring ticket buyers there is nothing further they need to do.

The International Hardware Fair is the world’s leading platform for innovation and business in the hardware sector. Some 3,000 exhibitors had been expected in 2020, including around 1,200 from China to attend the world’s leading innovation and business platform for the hardware industry that is held every two years in Cologne. Registered exhibitors and visitors are now being notified of the postponement.
