The Australian Made Campaign (AMCL) recently announced that the first ever Australian Made Week is set to be run from May 24 to May 30 this year.
The new Australian Made Week is expected to not only encourage shoppers to actively focus their buying activities on genuine Aussie products, but also celebrate and support local makers and growers throughout the country.
Consumers can become involved in Australian Made Week by looking for and purchasing products with the green and gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo.
Shoppers are also being encouraged to spread the word during Australian Made Week by sharing a picture of their Australian Made purchases on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and using the hashtags #AustralianMade and #AustralianMadeWeek.
The Australian Made Campaign is also reminding customers to consider the flow-on effect of their purchasing decisions.
“When consumers buy Australian Made and Australian Grown products, they are helping to support local businesses and communities across Australia. We are ask that shoppers encourage family and friends to get involved in Australian Made Week and spread the word on the importance of buying Aussie,” according to the campaign.
In the coming weeks, AMCL will be sharing more information on how to ‘say thanks’ to local makers and growers during Aussie Made Week. For more updates go to australianmade.com.au/news
