16/08/2021

Kennards Hire - BlundstoneAustralian family-owned brands Kennards Hire and Blundstone have announced a new DIY partnership as of today.

In celebration of their joint involvement in the 2021 season of The Block, the two iconic companies have come together to help the DIY community kick start or finish off their dream projects.

With so many Australians spending extra time at home over the past 12 months, consumers have become increasingly house proud, with new data from Dynata showing that almost a third (30 per cent) of Aussies saying the pandemic inspired them to spend more on home improvements or furnishings.

This spring, as The Block launches its 17th season, many industry experts expect to see an uplift in renovation projects. Kennards Hire and Blundstone want to celebrate the season of DIY by giving away a chance to win a new pair of Blundstones and a Kennards Hire voucher to complete their next DIY project.

Kennards Hire and Blundstone are both family-owned Australian brands synonymous with DIY enthusiasts and tradies alike, according to Kennards Hire’s Marketing and Brand Manager, Marian Wright

“Having been the official hire equipment partner of The Block for the past eight years, we are excited to work with another great Australian brand this season. It is a brilliant reason for us to give our die-hard ‘Blockhead’ customers a fair dinkum opportunity to start or finish off their home renovation project with some quality equipment and footwear.”

This sentiment was echoed by Greg Findlay, Blundstone Australasian Marketing and Communications Manager who said Blundstone has a long and rich history of supporting those who work (and play) hard, at home and on building sites across Australia.

“We are proud to once again be the official footwear partner of The Block, and to partner with Kennards to reward and recognise the die-hard fans of this TV juggernaut. With Australia in the midst of a home-improvement frenzy, we hope that the DIY fanatics are inspired to start renovation projects they can undertake at home or in their outdoor spaces, in fit-for-purpose boots made to get the job done,” Mr Findlay said.
