Bunnings is set to launch a nine-part renovation TV series, called Make it Yours and hosted by interior stylist Lucy Glade-Wright, on Seven multi-channel 7Two on May 11.
With independent research commissioned by Bunnings revealing that 65 per cent of Australians have at least one unfinished DIY job to do at home and two in three Aussies undertake DIY job once a month. When it comes to making a DIY decisions Australians are most influenced by home improvement TV programs.
The Make It Yours TV series, created by Bunnings, will premiere on 7TWO from 8.30pm.
The innovative DIY series has been specifically designed with the next generation in mind. Responding to a shift towards smaller density living and long-term renters, it delivers DIY in a new format, showcasing easy, stylish and affordable cosmetic renovations and DIY on a modest budget.
Make It Yours will be presented by host Lucy Glade-Wright, who is a designer, interior stylist and founder of Hunting for George. Lucy is passionate about all things home, design and lifestyle and will be adding her expert take and tips to the series.
“I am very excited to bring my knowledge of home and design as the host of Make it Yours, where every episode I get to walk through a new room in the home and dissect what works and why,” Lucy said.
“If you are thinking about starting a home reno or you just want to try out some fun style tips and ideas to at your place, then this show is for you,” she said.
Make It Yours partnered with 13 style creators to fully transform a small home into a stylish abode. The style creators, including wellness influencer Keira Rumble, organisation queen Steph Pase, Tim and Mat from House Rules and The Block’s Dale Vine, revamped different rooms of the home, sharing their style tips and tricks.
The first episode features interior stylists Az and Jamie of Haus of Cruze, who will completely transform a kitchen for under $5,000.
“We might be a little bias, but we absolutely love the kitchen space we transformed, given that the kitchen is the heart of any home, the kitchen and dining is definitely the crescendo of the house,” Az and Jamie said.
