Petrie’s Mitre 10 plans to open a new trade centre in Fitzroy Street, Dubbo in August after detecting a gap in the local market regarding trade supplies and pick-up.

Established in the region of Dubbo for just over two years, the Petrie’s group believes that it cannot efficiently service the local trade market from its current store in town, a Dubbo Photo News report has found.

Dubbo Branch Manager, Brad Petrie, said he and his team believe that a new local trade store is needed because the pickup function at Petrie’s Mitre 10 on Macquarie Street is a small space and cannot properly service local trade customers.

“We are opening a trade centre to offer a wider range of products and provide more efficiency with easier access for builders to be able to pick up what they need. The main intention is for builders to pull up before they go to work in the mornings, or throughout the day, and pick up the stock they need,” Mr Petrie said.

Trading hours are yet to be confirmed, but it is anticipated the centre will open at 6.30am from Monday to Friday and 8.30am on Saturdays, and it will also feature a sales hub for specialised orders and delivery options.

“We know builders need their stocks or products as soon as possible without much preparation or planning, so our role is to be able to supply to multiple builders and get the job done.”

“We are very grateful to be here and have a successful business, the team have truly become our family,” he told Dubbo Photo News.
