PlaceMakers recently opened its new satellite site in Hawke’s Bay while at the same time revealing big upgrades to its Levin branch.

Open since mid-April, PlaceMaker’s new Hastings store is currently managed by highly experienced Depot Manager, Nui O’Malley and also staffed by four experienced crew from the Napier branch.

Just over 20 kilometres away PlaceMakers in Napier will still be the region’s leading store, however the new Hastings branch will act as a satellite depot to service call-in business. The Hastings store now boasts an expansive 300 square metre trade hall, 220 square metre drive-and 1200 square metre yard.

Hawkes Bay Branch Op, Andrew Milne said in a recent Under Construction report that the stores are making the most of the thriving market.

“This is for our customers, to make it easier for them, and it is to provide the coverage we have not had historically. The new store will save our Hastings-based customers the drive back to Napier by providing a convenient call-in offer, with bulk and direct-to-site deliveries out of Napier,” Mr Milne said.

Further south, PlaceMakers Levin now occupies a brand-new, purpose-built store with a more efficient layout and a safer and cleaner environment.

Kapiti & Levin Branch Op, Greg Kusabs said the team was extremely proud to be able to bring this new development to Levin.

The new PlaceMakers Levin branch will operate seven days a week and features new kitchen, bathroom and heating displays, as well as a new drive-through.
