The Home Depot has been awarded the number one spot on the list of Most Culturally Inclusive Brands of 2023 by the Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing (AIMM), established by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

The awards are the result of thorough research conducted in collaboration with the Cultural Inclusion Accelerator (CIA), which is a market research company that assists businesses in comprehending the significance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) reflections in their marketing campaigns. Their approach assesses a brand’s advertising materials in terms of their cultural impact, effectiveness, and relevance, assisting in the development of inclusive promotional communications.

Carlos Santiago, co-founder of AIMM shared, “AIMM and CIA are proud to unveil this distinguished list of brands that have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to portraying diverse consumers authentically, and inspiring the industry to see, understand and celebrate the true identities of all consumers.”

The scores for cultural relevancy were aggregated to rank the brands in various segments such as Asian, Black, Hispanic (English & Spanish), LGBTQ+, Persons with Disabilities, Multicultural & Inclusive, and Overall Population. After gathering over 280,000 consumer evaluations from these diverse audiences, it was found that The Home Depot was the most culturally inclusive brand.

“This award reflects our commitment to connect with all our customers at Home Depot. We believe that we make meaningful connections by serving our communities, understanding our customers, and reflecting them in everything we do and in all our communications, both inside and outside of our stores,” Molly Battin, Chief Marketing Officer at The Home Depot said.
