Mitre 10 steps out of the store

Rex Paine Mitre 10 in conjunction with the Herald Sun’s Reno Brothers, hosted the first ever Trade and Renovation Sellout expo at Victoria’s Mooney Valley Racecourse recently. More than 2,000 eager DIYers and professional tradespeople visited the Rex Paine Mitre 10 and Reno Brothers marquee at Mooney Valley, eager to trial some of the latest hardware available and pick up some products at prices usually reserved for big industry builders.

The entire event was planned and executed by Rex Paine Mitre 10 co-store-owners Shaun Paine and Sof Manousopoulos in conjunction with the Reno Brothers, Matt and Simon Judkins.

“This was a fantastic result for our inaugural year. Many of the visitors commented that they were extremely pleased with the wide variety of products and demonstrations available,” said Rex Paine Mitre 10 Principal and Co-Event Organiser, Sof Manousopoulos. Key suppliers over the two day event included Leafbusters, Dewalt, Stanley, GMC, Yates, Taubmans and many more. “The wide variety of hardware suppliers that showcased their products were an integral part of making the event a hit,” said Sof. “Collectively we were able to offer something for everyone, from simple renovation tips to seminars explaining how to apply for building permits,” he added.
