John Florey Joins Mitre 10
John Florey has joined Mitre 10 as Group General Manager for Merchandise and Marketing. In this role, John will be responsible for merchandise procurement, product ranging, and Mitre 10’s advertising and marketing programs including the Mitre 10 tactical marketing program, for example, catalogues. This range of responsibilities includes the Mitre 10 promotional program and brand health. John brings more than 12 years experience in senior management positions within the retail industry to Mitre 10 having worked in marketing, merchandising for major national companies including Coles Myer, Sigma Pharmaceuticals and Telstra.
More recently, John was General Manager of Merchandise and Marketing at Repco Corporation and is confident he’ll make a seamless transition from automotive parts and accessories into hardware. “I’m delighted to join one of Australia’s most respected and iconic companies and to have the opportunity to work with the Mitre 10 team throughout the country to meet the marketing and merchandising needs of our stores,” John said. “This is a particularly exciting time to join the company and I look forward to further building on Mitre 10’s commitment to providing all the help you need.”
