Ladders To Go ‘Ape’ Over

The gorilla enclosure at Melbourne Zoo was a fitting location for the launch of Gorilla ladders to the Australian market. Gorilla is the latest range from Hartman Pacific, best known in the hardware industry for outdoor furniture.

The ladders will be manufactured in China to Australian and New Zealand standards, using Australian aluminium. Features include the patented Gorilla stabiliser and Gorilla Brace which increase ladder safety. According to Manager, Gavin Rundle, the name Gorilla was chosen to ensure customer recall and recognition. “We are confident that the Gorilla brand will become a recognised part of the Australian and New Zealand trade and industrial ladder markets over the next few months,” he said. “Overseas experience from working with Home Depot and other distributors, show ladder market can grow by 10-15% per annum provided innovative new products and applications are launched onto the market.” Hartman’s parent company, Miberlan Industrial, is Home Depot’s largest supplier of ladders. The range of Gorilla fibreglass and aluminium ladders includes step ladders, extension ladders, and dual purpose ladders.
