LSC unlocks the doors to its new Queensland branch

Locksmiths Supply Company (LSC) will be opening the doors to its new Queensland branch in Bowen Hills on 5 September signifying growth and support from its loyal customer base in this area.

Customers will no doubt notice the upgrade in facilities with a large showroom, training area, and a purpose built workshop that provides adequate room to service customer machines. Twelve staff members will reside in the Queensland branch and customers will have access to more staff members, ensuring better customer service and technical support, which LSC prides itself on.

LSC Queensland branch manager, Ashley Dobson, said he is excited about the move and is looking forward to assisting customers at the new premises.

LSC welcomes those in the locksmith and hardware industry to see the new office from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 5 September 2009. There will be activities on the day for the whole family from product demonstrations and activities for children.

This new location marks another milestone in LSC’s proud history in Australia. From humble beginnings in 1926 when director Mark Johnson’s grandfather operated a small hardware store at Victoria Market under the company name AF Johnson (then an ironmonger), to now owning branches in every state and one in New Zealand, selling the best products to the locksmith and hardware industry with more than 18,000 lines. LSC has certainly come a long way.

The Johnson family has contributed to the development of the locksmith industry from its early stages in Australia. It is believed that Aubrey Johnson imported the first code cutting machine for cylinder keys on his search around the globe for all the information he could find about the industry.

As LSC continues to service the industry it has very similar goals from its establishment in the early days: Bring locksmith and hardware customers in Australia the best products available to the industry, continue to grow the product range and services, and offer knowledgeable and personal service.

LSC sources products from the most respected manufacturers in the business including Silca, ABUS, Lockwood, ASP and WH-Software and continues to offer knowledgeable service with its investment in research and development to ensure the industry is at the forefront and not lagging behind trends overseas. In addition to ensuring its own sales team is ‘in the know’ LSC invests heavily in training locksmiths and those in the hardware industry with specific training nights on new products at each state branch.
