United Tools brought their members and key suppliers together for their Annual National Conference in early September. New United Tools CEO, Stuart Clark, said the event was a great success, with over 140 people attending. This included 79 representatives from 34 suppliers, along with 62 delegates from United Tools.

The agenda provided an opportunity for United Tools members and suppliers to get together with a trade exhibition and social activities. Through all the hard work and a busy agenda, there was also some time for everyone to soak in the tropical surrounds of Cairns, where the event was held. During the event, the 2011 United Tools Supplier of the Year was announced, with Metabo winning the award.

The United Tools annual conference continues to grow in size as the group membership develops. With 52 stores around the country across 40 individual members, the management team at United Tools is hungry to extend the coverage even further. Some of the most recent additions include stores in Brookvale (NSW) and Wingfield (SA). There is also another store on the horizon, with Toolmart in Western Australia set to open its Mandurah store in late November.

The group is also excited to report that within the membership, some stores are relocating to bigger and better premises. This is the case for the Shepparton and Bayswater stores from Victoria, who have secured new premises, providing much greater sales and service capacities.
