ASSA ABLOY’s new product re-‘assure’s home owners

The Yale Assure Lock Keyless is the latest ASSA ABLOY product to join its growing digital locking product range. Yale has created an aesthetically pleasing digital entrance lock to suit both residential and semi commercial environments. To be launched in October, the new lock will be available in two options, keyless version and key override, in a satin chrome finish.

Lose your keys for good!
Providing keyless entry and also the ability to share digital keys with others via the user’s smartphone, the Yale Assure Lock Keyless safely secures the home without the need to carry keys.

Controlled via the Yale Assure App, Yale’s ‘Twist and Go’ function, allows users the unique ability to unlock their door by twisting their smart phone when within Bluetooth range.

The ‘Twist and Go’ feature protects users, and their family, from unintended unlocking. Also offering a backlit touch screen keypad, users have the option of entering a pin code to unlock the door. An automatic re-lock function is also available so that when the latch is retracted, the lock will automatically lock after a specified period of time.

If the automatic relock function is disabled, a One-Touch relocking feature to the keypad will activate the keypad to extend the latch.

The Yale Assure smartphone app offers master users the ability to send digital keys to ‘one time’ users, which is an ideal feature for short term rental properties or allowing access to cleaners etc. Through the Yale Assure App, users can monitor when others lock and unlock the door and also monitor the user history.

The Yale Assure App also allows users to schedule the period of time digital keys are active for. When in use on a short term rental property, master users can allow visitor’s access for the period of their stay and at the end of the stay the digital key is automatically disabled.

In a generation of home automation technology, the Yale Assure Lock Keyless may also be upgraded with either ZigBee or Z-wave modules to integrate with home automation systems.

Security is the number one priority
Security is a top priority in the Yale Assure Lock Keyless, particularly with the addition of the tamper alert feature. If an attempt to forcibly remove the lock from the outside of the door occurs, an audible alarm sound will be triggered. Similar to a smartphone locking security system, if after five unsuccessful attempts at entering a valid pin code, the unit will shut down for 60 seconds and not allow operation.

With the ability to replace existing deadbolts with only a screw driver, users can change their mechanical door lock to a digital solution within minutes. The key override lock option also provides users with peace of mind if using a mechanical lock, whilst having digital features. The keyless lock also features audio notifications when batteries are running low though, if the lock loses all battery power, a 9V battery backup ensures access to enter the home. Voice guided set up and customisation process allow customers to easily setup up to 12 different pin numbers.

As we move into a digitally connected world, you can be assured that Yale Assure will secure your customer’s homes along the way.
